Raison d'être, Part 2!

We had such a wonderful discussion last time that we couldn't cover all of the bases (surprised, right?)  So, the plan is pretty straight forward--we'll simply keep it going.  Thanks to the those who volunteered, with heartfelt honesty and conviction the reasons for your spiritual perspective.  There remain many voices who we haven't heard from, and we want to hear from you.

My place is tentatively scheduled until someone volunteers to host.  Please note the new Saturday time slot.  If you were unable to attend the last discussion, (1) we've missed you, and (2) due to life circumstances I'm unable to host weekday evenings for the foreseeable future.  I hope that's okay for you.

Finally, we had a great discussion two times ago in which we talked about experiencing people without a seemingly altruistic agenda.  The goal is to simply share existence with another person for a period of time--to appreciate their right to exist and the beauty of that existence, without presuming a material benefit, so to speak.  I haven't forgotten about that goal, and I'm a terrible event organizer so it's taking me some extra effort to get this rolling.  Feel free to help me (us) out.

In grace, truth and the deepest love,

Eric

It's amazing what this group can do because its heart(s) are in the right place.

I really enjoyed the last meeting but I'll be out of town at a conference for the March 1st one, unfortunately. Hope to see you all again at some future meeting.

Hi, friends! I just posted a discussion topic entitled "Meetup Support." Please check it out here:

    http://www.meetup.com/Cigars-and-Theology/messages/boards/thread/41827722/0/#[masked]

In sum, you now have a way to help support this group if you would like to. A new "membership dues" item has appeared on the website, but there aren't any required "dues" at all; there's now just a way for you to make a voluntary contribution. Like · Reply · 1h ago · Mute

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
