Hi everyone! I attended a screening of the British Arrows Awards at the Carnegie Center in Covington a few weeks ago, and really enjoyed it. I just wanted to share that they are having another screening of these award winning advertisements (adverts to a good many of you!). The ads were alternately clever, moving, and innovative, with the vast majority of them very humorous. I highly recommend this for a night out with a lot of laughs!

Also, apparently, you can purchase dinner and drinks prior to the screening, with table service throughout. Tickets for the film alone are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Here is a link with more information: http://www.cincyworldcinema.org/x_121024baaEnc.php

Hope some of you can make it! I would go again, but I'm busy teaching on Wednesday evenings.

The BAA was funny and touching -- lots of laughter throughout the screening. Beyond the creative content, it was great to see the British people as well as cities and countryside on-screen.

The set up is different, and more intimate, than with films shown at the Carnegie Arts Center. At Highland Country Club the British Arrows will be shown on the same size screen -- 16'x9', but in the club dining room, with seating limited to 100 patrons. Because capacity is small, it is a good idea to purchase film tix in advance.

The plan is for folks/groups to arrive circa 6:00-6:30 for dinner, with the screening at 7:30. The chef has prepared a reasonably priced "cinema menu" with entrees ranging from $9-$20. The menu for the event is posted here: http://www.cincyworldcinema.org....
