Cincinnati Lean Startup Circle Meetup

Networking + presentation signup

6pm-6:30pm — informal networking - meet some people, and sign up to present. You can ask for 2 to 20 minutes - content must be Lean Startup related. No reasonable proposal will be turned down. Be sure to pressure attendees into signing up to present :)

Introductions

6:30-6:45pm — go around the room and everyone gets 10-20 seconds to introduce themselves.

Presentations

6:45pm-? The best way to learn something is to teach it. This is an extremely supportive environment. Get practice at public speaking. Keep an eye on the clock; we keep things moving.

The organizers are prepared to step up and do presentations if signups are light, including introductions to Lean Startup + building canvases live — but c'mon community — step up and share what you're doing!

More networking + conversation

If there's time left after the presentation, connect with some more people through 8pm.

It was great meeting everyone last night. Really enjoyed the opportunity to work on a canvas and get feedback and ideas.

I referenced a video from Lean Startup Machine that does a great job quickly explaining the Lean Startup method, here's the link,
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhoducyStMw

There's a second video where he tests a hypothesis using his validation board, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8Rk0c3axtI

I found these helpful, hope you do, too.

Very informative, very motivational... fantastic job Apps! It was great to meet the attendees and see how their ideas could be applied to a 'lean' model.

Sorry I had to miss the second iteration of the Lean Business Model mapping exercise, but enjoyed and learned a great deal from the first. Hope to see many of you again. www.comassistky.com

Apps, great job last night facilitating the group. Appreciate it, and I was wrong about the co-organizer. It is Andy and not Josh. Josh is a different meet-up!

    Hi All -
Along the lines of Apps, thought I would pre-empt: Looking for a hardware expert/EE with iOS and/or UX skills to help me build a prototype. Also seeking input from business model experts.

Hi everyone, I thought I would preempt the "what are you looking for?" question and say that I am looking for a software architect (consultant/1099) that has experience with NoSQL. If you know anyone, please let me know. Thanks! - Apps

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
