Please relate, in general terms, your backpacking experience.

Been doing overnight trips for a few years, mostly out West, in the Rockies. It is now my primary goal to get some longer trips under my boots, 3-7 days.

What was your favorite backpacking experience?

The Abel Tasman.... c'mon, what gets better than hiking the gorgeous coast of mountains-into-water New Zealand?!

What was your funniest backpacking moment?

Scamming our way into a Super 8 swimming pool after a long 4 days in Canyonlands.

What was your most embarrassing backpacking moment?

Lots, or none. Don't go backpacking if you can't pee in the woods, or not shower for days!

What's the longest backpacking trip you've ever taken? (in mileage and/or days)

The Abel Tasman Coast Track, New Zealand, 31 miles. Best dang 3 days!!!

Introduction

Still new to this area, looking to dive into "east coast/midwest" backpacking.
