I've been on several over night group trips and several more family trips. I'm no pro by any means, but am pretty self sufficient.
RRG, Eagle Point Buttress in January. The hike was rough and pretty terrifying in some places, but the view from up top was so worth it.
I'm quite often amused by my pups when we backpack. My husky mix likes to splash in every stream and roll in every mud puddle. Which doesnt always end so well when she has her backpack on. She got herself stuck pretty good like a little turtle on her back on a particularly muddy trail, and being the wonderful person I am, I pulled out my phone to record it before help her.
Um, we're backpackers, we hang out in our own stink for days and poop in holes, embarrassment first requires dignity. Ain't nobody got time for that! ;)
2 nights. I'd love to take a longer trip, but haven't had the opportunity.
I'm Brandi. I'm new-ish to backpacking (have about a year under my belt) Looking forward to meeting people I can share adventures with and learn from.
