Introduction

I've tried to make healthful eating choices throughout my adult life, but only "went raw" in early April of 2008. My husband is a teacher and I'm a neurofeedback tech. We moved here from NY in 2002 & love the area. Hope to get to meet you soon!

Is there a particular day (or days) of the week that would be better for you to meet than others?

hmmm...I'd have to say definitely NOT on Friday evenings. I guess the best times would be a Monday or Tuesday evening or a Saturday afternoon.

What are some of the reasons you decided to join us? (we're happy to have you regardless of the reason)

I wanted to link up w/ other raw foodists in the area and swap ideas for recipes, local eating places, etc.

Are you a long-time raw foodist, a "rawbie" (fairly new to raw), or just "raw-curious"?

I guess I'm still a Rawbie - only about 2 months. I frequently eat 99% raw but have some days where it's more like 75%.

In what area of town do you live?

Springdale

What Karen is saying about this Meetup Group

When I first started eating raw almost a year ago, I didn't know anyone else who ate this way. Not only was I encouraged by finding a group of raw-foodies in Cincinnati but I've continued to benefit month after month by connecting w/ these folks who are eager to share what they've learned on their raw food journeys. The gatherings are always punctuated w/ good stories, shared insights (shared websites, too), laughter, and frequently we frequently view enlightening documentaries. Every time we gather, I think each person makes a valuable contribution and also takes away something new for use. I haven't even mentioned the food, yet....it's wonderfully amazing, happy food. Truly!
