Ciné Arts Cleveland! Message Board › RSVP List / Dinner Reservations
Chagrin Falls, OH
Just a quick note regarding the Life of Pi at Cinemark Valley View, tomorrow at 4:20 p.m. and our dinner/discussion after at the fabulous LockKeepers. (I am sending this directly to your mailbox and via meetup message).
I strongly recommend buying tickets on-line! Last week we faced a long line out the door at Shaker Square as Lincoln sold-out 30 minutes before showtime. Frankly, I expect the same for Life of Pi. If you can arrive early (3:30 to 3:45 p.m.) you will be in the front of the entrance line. Please try to save seats in the upper level center if possible.
The best location for viewing would place your eyes on a level with the center of the screen.*
Importantly, we are screening this film in Cinemark XD - RealD 3D.
There are other options at different times, but considering the groundbreaking third-dimensional cinematography this is really the best. I’m told that it is an Imax experience with dramatic audio as well.
Here are the confirmed RSVP’s for dinner. If you will not attend, please update your RSVP status to NO. It’s very important to cancel your dinner reservations if you can’t attend. Thank you!
Showtime is 4:20 p.m.

* More tips on best seating - Best locations for audio vary, but there is an optimal place to experience the sound system in most theaters. Choose a row about two thirds of the distance from the screen to the back of the theater. Try to sit one or two seats from the exact center of the row. The reason is that most sound technicians check the audio levels from the center seat about two thirds back from the screen. Since the sound from right and left speakers are equalized for the center, you want to sit slightly off-center to enhance the stereo effect.
