At the last moment I decided on this movie, as I saw it recently and thought it rather good, (both entertaining and educational) I have no recollection of having heard about it before, even though it has been out a couple of years, I therefore suspect a lot of other people also have not seen it and that is a shame.
It is based on a true story and stars Rachel Weisz, who plays Kathryn Bolkovac, a U.S police officer, who signs up to work with the U.N. International Police in post-war Bosnia. Whilst dealing with a case of a young girl who was trafficked by her uncle she discovers a dark secret at the heart of the U.N mission and in trying to bring it to light finds herself persecuted by her colleagues and the people in charge who do not want a scandal that could effect lucrative contracts.
Whatever the problems there may or not be with the script, Rachel Weisz's performance is outstanding and she easily carries the movie.
