Aim High in Creation

Thanks to Simon (and Nichole) for letting me know that this film will be showing again on Wednesday March 19th and that Melbourne Film Club is holding a meetup there. Simon has suggested we can make it a joint event so see the details below:

Let's go and see "Aim High in Creation" at the Nova. This film is a humorous and potentially controversial spoof on the format of a North Korean propaganda film, made using late leader Kim Jong-il's 1987 manifesto "The Cinema and Directing". After the film, director Anna Broinowski (Forbidden Lie$) will be available for a half-hour Q&A session to answer questions about the film. As this is a special filmmaker event screening, please make an effort to decide on your RSVP and buy your tickets as soon as possible as the session may sell out. If I become aware that this session has sold out, I will close RSVP's for this event. *** Please purchase your ticket(s) when you RSVP. This is important as this session may sell out ahead of the date. *** Tickets are available online at the following link:

Please note that there is another link on Nova's web site that describes the film more generally, under "Coming Soon". Tickets to this special screening are not available via that link; they are available via the above link *only* or via the "Filmmaker and Event Screenings" option under the "Events" dropdown on Nova's website. Date: Wednesday, 19th March, 2014 Time: Meet at 6:00pm for the 6:30pm session. We will enter the cinema at approximately 6:15pm.
