Did you know Corona has its own community choir?  Founded in January 2010 by director Angela Rosser, the Circle City Chorale is comprised of singers 18+ from Corona and surrounding areas. We hold open auditions in January and August for each season (Spring and Winter).  We will post audition dates for the next season when they are set.

We just wrapped up our special fundraising concerts "Movie Themes and Broadway Dreams" which showcased not only our full chorale and ensemble, but the individual talents of many of members!  This is part of our fundraising program to send the Circle City Chorale on a European tour in May 2016!  We are very excited about this opportunity and we ESPECIALLY NEED LOW VOICES to join us!

We rehearse on Monday nights from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.  While many members are recruited from local church choirs, and we rehearse at a church, the Chorale does not have any religious affiliation. We perform choir music ranging from sacred to Broadway to popular. We usually have two "concert weekends" per year, in May and in December, plus other performances as opportunities arise.

Over the past few seasons we have performed in Corona's 4th of July parade as well as at Santana Park for the 4th of July festivities; at the Empty Bowls fundraiser in Norco; at "Hot August Night" at St. John's Episcopal Church; at the Temecula Valley Chorale Festival; at Corona's "Day of the Child" event; and Christmas caroling through the shops at Dos Lagos.  Some of our most fun performances have been dressing in costume to perform music from "Les Miserables" and "Into The Woods" for the opening of the movies at the Dos Lagos Theatres.  We were also honored to be invited to perform at Corona's Tree Lighting Ceremony. Last Christmas season we added a performance at the "Festival of Lights" in Riverside and the tree lighting ceremony at Crossroads Church.

As we grow and become more well-known, we hope to have many more performance opportunities!

We are a 501(c)(3) registered non-profit corporation. Our group size averages around 65 members, ranging in age from 20's through "golden years"!  It's a fun and friendly group. If you have any previous singing experience, you are welcome to audition. Ability to read sheet music is a definite plus - but if you have a good voice, can match pitch on a piano, and are willing to listen and learn, come on down and try out. We especially need low voices - bass, baritone and tenor - but all are welcome!

A smaller group of some of our best singers forms the Circle City Singers.  This ensemble has higher audition requirements.  Circle City Singers are featured in our concerts as well as having additional performances in the community.

Choir dues are $10 per month, plus $25 to partially cover sheet music costs per season (twice a year).  Dues are paid directly to the choir treasurer onsite.  This meetup page has no fees.

You can check out our website at, and follow us on Facebook!

(A note about this meetup page: it is used for recruitment only, so "former members" are just new choir members removed from this page so that they don't continue to receive emails about auditions.  We have recruited many new choir members from!)
