The mission of the Citizens Constitutional Caucus is to educate, discuss, debate, and provide solutions with regard to restoring adherence to the US Constitution. With this basic education, members will be inspired to effectively serve “We the People.”
The Goals of the Citizens Constitutional Caucus are Four-Fold:
1) To provide educational opportunities via member organizations. Thomas Jefferson wrote: “I know of no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves; and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it (the control) from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”
2) To provide a forum for the energetic dialog and debate pertaining to ongoing disrespect for the Constitution and degradation of the Republic.
3) To develop actionable solutions to restore constitutional governance in North Carolina and to train citizen-activists.
4) To uphold a standard of conduct that demonstrates and inculcates a belief that our moral duty as good citizens is an “active duty,” not a passive one.
