I played three games. I did well in the Catan game. I liked the probability I saw. I will probably see you in the Monday meetups.

I can only speak for the Fullerton events which I have attended: It's a good place to meet up with easygoing gamers (who can recommend several other gaming outlets in the area). Marieke is a gem and really sets a hospitable tone in her loft/office space. The folks here are intelligent, patient teachers, and seem to enjoy a wide variety of games: short, long, light, heavy, fun, intense, etc. I look forward to going back whenever I have a free Monday night.

Fantastic group of players. People who are willing to try anything, and who are willing to teach and learn anything!! This isn't your average Catan group!!

I enjoyed meeting everyone and a chance to learn a new game. Thank you very much.

Friendly environment for both men and women. Room for 3-4 simultaneous games. Snacks. Roger has plenty of games, and many bring their favorites as well as new releases along as well.

I didn't know what to expect when I joined Roger's group but these are the nicest, most patient Euro gamers you could imagine. But they do play to win & they have the skill to back it up. There's a lot of responsibility being Lady/Lord of Catan, Marieke, so if you ever get tired of the job...

Whether you are a beginner, occasional player, or regular, you'll find a game you enjoy and a good group to play it.

I really like the fact that I was not the only one that brought games to play. I have attended these things where there was only one copy of the game and people had to stand around kibitzing (which is really annoying). This is a group that I need not worry about that, everyone is mature, intelligent and respectful of others.

This group has always been great since its inception. It was originally run by a teacher in Cypress who moved to New Mexico. Now it's run by another teacher in Cypress, Roger. He has a nice house in Cypress with room for 3 gaming tables. I attend many gaming events, and it's a relief to be part of a group that concentrates(but is not limited to) just one game. Roger is very organized, and even writes down the number of games played. Overall, this is a great group, especially if you're starting out in boardgaming.
