Back to the Garden: NYCCGC Fundraiser

Founded in 1996, New York City Community Garden Coalition's mission is to promote the preservation, creation, and empowerment of community gardens through education, advocacy, and grassroots organizing.

We are excited to announce our June 10th fundraiser will be held at Judson Memorial Church from 6:30 to 9 pm. We will be celebrating the vitality of community gardens and the long-awaited planting season, and we will present awards to visionary borough gardeners and activists.

NYCCGC also plans to give our first-ever activist award to an honoree that best exemplifies the unrelenting spirit of Pete Seeger, who so graciously played an integral part in our Mayoral Forum last year, leading the assembled forum in an emphatic rendition of “If I Had a Hammer.”
