GreenThumb and Just Food proudly present a new series of workshops that explore the partnerships between CSAs and community gardens. This series is a great opportunity to engage your community and create partnerships with local farms while providing increased access to fresh, local produce. You will hear from the a wonderful array of guest speakers including Farmer Fred from Sang Lee Farms, which provides for a CSAs including the Crown Heights Farm Share. We will be give out the CSA in the City Tool-kit published by Just Food. You will need to register and attend all three sessions in this series in order to receive the tool-kit. There are lots of possible ways for CSAs and gardens to partner together as part of their community. Gardens can be CSA distribution locations, CSAs can contribute volunteer time to help with garden projects, CSAs and gardens can work together to set up composting initiatives and more! Come explore ways to create these strong, exciting community connections.
