New York Times Best Selling Author
Michael Goodwin
The Economix of Food

Author Michael Goodwin has always loved comics and history. His interest in history led to a curiosity about economics. He began reading up on the subject, catching glimpses of a story nobody seemed to be telling. He brought a stack of books to a small town in India, settled in, and started researching and writing. The result was Economix, an exploration of the economy in comix form, now a New York Times bestseller.

This evening Michael will expand on ideas he only touched on in the book, such how the world's richest country came to eat cruddy food, and how the forgotten liberal tradition in economics can be a tool for understanding, and changing, what's on our plates.
Join Michael as he talks about how some almost-forgotten economic ideas are more relevant today than ever.

Listen to Michaels interview on the November 28, 2012 episode of the C-Realm podcast as a prelude to his evening as part of the Full Circle Series.
