Do you grow food now or do you want to start growing food?

What neighborhood in NYC do you farm or want to farm?

Long Island City and Astoria

Where do you grow food or want to grow food (i.e. community garden, back or front yard, window sill, rooftop farm, etc)?

I grow food on my window sill and in a community garden. But I am starting a new semi-shady garden in Long Island City with seniors.

What is the name of your project or farm (if relevant)?

Jacob Riis Garden Project

Please describe your project or farm (if relevant).

A group of seniors want to grow food and beautify a large, semi-shady, fenced-in area within the Queensbridge Houses. The property is on NYCHA property, so there are lots of constraints. But we are going to start planting in May.

I've got a plot at Two Coves Community Garden, and I'm helping to start a garden at the Jacob Riis Settlement in Queensbridge.
