All of the above!
Intergenerational Garden @ Queens Botanical Garden, IG Food Pantry Garden
QBG's Intergenerational Garden brings queens community gardeners of all ages and backgrounds together. They grow their own vegetables planting vegetables important in their cultures showcasing our boroughs diversity with and learn to be good environmental stewards. Intergenerational Food Pantry Program: A 1,200 Sq. ft space adjacent to the IG gardners has been providing fresh produce to several local pantries and soup kitchens since 2012, delivering pounds and pounds of food each week during the growing season to feed New Yorkers in need of receiving healthy, locally grown food and nutrition.
I'm Connie, Prior Chef and have been aiming my career towards working in Agriculture. Currently am an apprentice of the Intergenerational Garden @ Queens Botanical Garden and am co-organizer of workshops in the IG garden.
