you can do it either way, whole potato or cut, both will work. i've done
both and idnt notice much difference honestly,but will do both ways
again this year,
only my 3rd year with potatoes.
the size of the spud, i cut in half or quarters, i make sure there are
at least 2 eyes on each piece and let the cut dry over before planting..
i've even seen recommended to cut pieces as small as 1 " cubed but to me that seems too small.
i've never seen them grown in garbage bags, as long as they can drain from the bottom i guess that works.
be trying them in burlap bags this season as well as the wooden
stacking boxes i built last year again, and always do a hilled row in
ground as well.
