Hello to all the lovely UK CiviCRM people!
Just a quick reminder that the next London Meetup is on Wed 31st July and it would be great to see you there. It will be taking place from 5:30pm - 8:30pm (talks starting at 6pm) at Red Gallery, 3 Rivington Street, EC2A 3DT.
For those interested in using CiviCRM these sessions are a great way to learn more about how it works and get feedback from those already using Civi. If you've previously been to a meetup or use CiviCRM then you already know how great it is but you can still learn more about the different modules of Civi and perhaps get some inspiration of what more CiviCRM can do for you.
Registration and more information can be found here: http://civicrm.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=326
CiviCase is the focus for this evening and the sessions will be:
Welcome & introductions (Until aroun 6pm)
First Session - CiviCRM overview and introduction to a Civi module - CiviCase
Second Seesion - CiviCase case study - Seamless Relocation
Third session - Community update - Michael McAndrew
Fourth Session -Configuring CiviCase - XML files (Mark Tompsett)
Postcode searching using regex (Tony Horrocks)
Next time - Why not share you experience?
We're already looking forward to August and September and ideally looking for end users (thats you guys on the front lines!) who could kindly give a 10/15 minute presentation or case study on how they've got on with or are using Civi. Having feedback from the field really helps new users to get to grips with Civi so it would be great if any of you 'old timers could lend us your experience and battle stories!
If you'd like to present at this or a future CiviCRM meetup, please get in contact with me or Parvez Saleh and we'll pop you on the agenda.
Last but not least a quick plug for CiviCON London which will be happening on the 3rd and 4th of October. Tickets are available from: http://london2013.civicrm.org/
Theres still time to register to host a session. If you're doing something interesting with CiviCRM, then why not tell the community about it! It could be a session for absolute novices or an in depth workshop for developers. Sharing your knowledge will make Civi better. If you would like to host a session either submit it through the Sessions page "add content" after signing into the site with your CiviCRM login or email me direct.
Thanks, and look forward to seeing you next week,
