hack civically :)

Erik laid out a plan for a September citycamp here:!topic/hackingmadison/GBlVHw0nDo4 . Part of that plan involves showcasing local apps (including those that may not yet exist), with:

"- A session or two about modifying software from other cities to work at Madison
"- A session or two on how we get people to actually use the software we're deploying. Maybe it's about how we deployed a couple dozen bus kiosks around the city or got a bunch of people signed up for the[masked] winter to use adopt-a-hydrant .
"- A session or two on a new app or API created using civic data and why it's cool."

So let's find out what people are working on, what people want to work on, and maybe pull some teams together to make some awesome.

Thanks to everyone that made it last night. We intend to maintain focus on project development through CityCamp and Build Madison in the fall.

If folks are interested, I'd like to suggest meetups every two weeks, alternating hacking/building sessions with ones more geared towards updates and brainstorms.

Let me/us know what you think.

We'll meet in the back room at Horizon tomorrow night. Bring project ideas or problems to solve.
