Hi! I am an American expat and I love film. I grew up with parents who loved film, and introduced me to many many of the greats - and I love living (19 years) in London & having access to the BFI (even if some of their prints break in the middle!!)
That is pretty difficult: I like everything from The Marx Brothers to the Russian version of War and Peace (8 hours long! and I have seen it three times over the years!) I like musicals, comedy, drama, Sci-Fi, Martial Arts, Anime, Animation, action, foreign and domestic - with or without subtitles - just about anything, really. My husband is a bigger fan of Westerns than I am, but I love the spaghetti westerns (we went to see The Spaghetti Western Orchestra last January at the RFH - I HIGHLY recommend seeing them if you can - hilarious) I have gone to the BFI to see things ranging from Morgan A Case For Treatment (I am a psychotherapist, so curiousity got the better of me) to It's A Wonderful Life and The Band Wagon. Love watching movies on TV, and of course going to current Cinema - recently saw The Beasts of the Southern Wild - REALLY WONDERFUL - it is my newest "favourite" film. I studied film at university years ago when I got my first degree.
I probably know less about venues than your other members - Of course the BFI, but I would like to know about other venues which show classic films.

Hi Lori,
Welcome, good to have you with us. We'll be starting meetups in a couple of weeks time so keep an eye out, it looks like its going to be a lot of fun. I should have know better than to ask that last question to a bunch of psychologists, we're pedantic bunch when it comes to personality constructs.
Look forward to meeting you soon,
Rich
