Do you sometimes quote lines from a Bette Davis film at the office only to get a blank stare in return? Keep meeting those who think that black and white movies are "primitive" and "too old"?

Well, then you should join up with folks that know just how great classic films can be--the Classic Movie Meetup of Manhattan! We go to movies of the 1930s-70s at venues like Film Forum and Chelsea Clearview Classics. 

Like many movie meetups, there is a $1 meetup maintainence fee per event, to offset the costs of our group's subscription. Also, please note: Because we've been kept waiting in lobbies, etc., for folks who didn't bother to change their rsvps, Classic Movie Meetup of Manhattan has a "no-show" policy, retroactive to February 22, 2009, where any member who incurs ONE no-show with no explanatory emails to me will be permanently removed from our membership rolls and not be allowed to rsvp for any more of our events. After all, would you keep a "friend" who stood you up and never apologized?
