Classical Music Group Meetings at Winter Park University Club

  • Dec 18, 2013 · 1:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our group, open to music lovers and the general public, meets at 1 pm on the third Wednesday of each month at the University Club of Winter Park, corner of Webster and Park Ave. Meetup Members gather at 12:30 at our 'table.'  After enjoying conversation, wine, coffee, and hor d'oeuvres, relax for an informative and enjoyable music presentation with live performances featuring world-class musicians.

You're invited to enjoy young and talented Italian pianist Pietro Iannotti, who will perform works of Brahms, Chopin, Liszt and Rachmaninov at the University Club of Winter Park Classical Music meeting on Wednesday, December 18 at 1 pm. A  native of Salerno, Pietro began performing in public recitals at nine years of age. He is a graduate of the Conservatory G. Martucci of Salerno and the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, and obtained his master's degree from the Ludovico da Victoria Pontifical School of Rome.

Pietro has won numerous national and international music competitions and has performed public recitals with orchestras in Italy and many other countries.  He also teaches piano to young students at the Orlando Music Institute. He will perform Brahms' Variations on a Theme of Paganini (Book II), Chopin's Ballade Op 23 No. 1, and Chopin's Polonaise Op 53.

Come join us to enjoy Pietro's melodious music, along with refreshments provided by our gracious volunteers. Members and guests are encouraged to bring their favorite holiday sweets.

We hope you can join us!
