On Monday, November 12, the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s Young Patrons Group, Overture, will host a Membership Mixer at Shakai Sushi in Downtown Orlando from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
The mixer is a social event for music enthusiasts in their 20s, 30s and 40s who want to meet like-minded young professionals and learn more about the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Admission is $20, and includes sushi, drinks and opportunities to mingle with young orchestra musicians. Special guests, Principal Violist Mauricio Céspedes Rivero and Principal Oboe Jame Strefeler, will speak about what it’s like to play in the orchestra. Attendees will also get a sneak peak at Overture’s[masked] events schedule, and an opportunity to become a member of Overture at a special rate of $20, good through August 2014.
