Humm... My thanks to John and my great enjoyment from the concert have disappeared in cyberspace. So here these are again. John - a bouquet of thanks for organizing this event and herding us so well. The concert was cheerful. Soprano diva Measha Brueggergosman was amazing! And the SF -Bay Area audience, as fascinating and diverse as ever.

How to find me and Please update RSVP status if you are not going

I'll have a cowboy hat and a meetup sign on a stick (think political convention signs, e.g. "I like Ike"). We are 12 plus guests so please update your RSVP if your plans have changed. I'm not an attendance Nazi but neither am I a babysitter, so if you want to sit with the group, be early.
Do bring a low chair, don't bring something that's going to block the person behind you if they are sitting on terra firma. I'll have a blanket and I think Paul will too, but to stake out enough space for all, more is better so if you can, bring a book and help. You can't buy booze there, so if your classical music goes better well lubricated, prepare accordingly. We'll be there a while, so munchies and pots of luck are always a good idea if you can schlep such.
Cool, that's it, see you tomorrow.

Sadly, it turns out that I'll have to work all Sunday, so I'm afraid I'll miss out on the concert.

Hi all, good news on the Bart strike! Anyway, I'll be getting there at 11, Paul, it would be great if you could bring a blanket or other device to stake out territory. I'll be bringing a blanket but it won't be enough. I'll try to be as close to front and center as possible, look for a cowboy hat and I'll try to think of a clever device to see me and update tomorrow.

I'll be bring a bottle of wine but little else, food is sold on site but not booze. see http://bit.ly/12rCDxY

Cell is[masked] I will repeat this by email.

    Thanks!
    John

Bart strike is over today Friday, right?

      July 5, 2013

    • Carol

I have been planning on coming, but my garage door just fell down and it can't get up! I will be there if I can get it fixed in time.....

      July 5, 2013

  • John E.

PS, pot luck sounds cool, go for it if you want, but it will be just luck for me, one handed dudes on motorcycles can't carry much stuff.

    July 5, 2013

  • Paul

I'd be willing to get there at 11. I would just need to know what I should bring to eat, and, it would be helpful to have your cell #, John, so I can find you. ALSO, if the bart strike is still happening, I would need a ride (no car). I live in N. Oakland.

    July 3, 2013

    • Cecily

If Bart is still on strike, I'll be taking transbay bus from Oakland...

      July 3, 2013

    • Paul

I just read that bart service is resuming today at 3pm! Anyways, we do all need to know where to go, so yeah, we all need John to respond to us, as well (meeting point/ meeting time/cell #, etc.).

      July 5, 2013

  • ayala k.

John- can you please email your cell ph no to the ones who plan to attend Sun? So that we can find you ? Any approximate location for us to meet? Anyone bringing paper plates etc? I'm so thankful for your time and effort.

    July 5, 2013

  • Mary F.

Hi Erika, may I bring a friend?

    July 5, 2013

John, Please let folks know how to find the group & other logistical stuff. Thanks!

    July 5, 2013

  • erika

Please try to get there by 11. Bring a seating mat/blanket/LOW beach chair if you have one. Of course, bring your favorite picnic food for yourself and to share. It's so much yummy & fun in the outdoor!:)

    July 5, 2013

  • erika

Hey Folks, You'd better let John (Event Host) know if you're coming for sure. Please remember he is NOT your seat reservation service waiting for you to show up. I will be watching roster closely today & tomorrow. For those not responding to John I will drop you from rsvp so that number's more realistic.

    July 3, 2013

  • Cecily

Are we having a pot luck like last year? I'll gladly cook a dish.

    July 2, 2013

  • David G.

I may be able to get there early, but it would probably be more like 11:30.

    June 30, 2013

  • John E.

Hi Everyone, I'm going to try to be there by 11 a.m. and will stakeout one blanket, is there anyone else that can be there at that time and also bring a blanket?

    June 30, 2013

  • erika

Let me post link to last year's event to get a sense: http://www.meetup.com/Classical-Music-Friends-in-the-Bay-Area/events/64789962/ John, please coordinate with folks accordingly! Thanks.

    June 30, 2013

  • erika

Try to get there by noon at the latest if it is small group of you. But if expecting a big group, it's better off getting there earlier than that like 11 to guarantee a seating spot.
