Hi there,

I'd like to welcome all of you (esp. newbies to the meetup!) to our monthly all-in-one event, and it's FREE of cost. Please come on out and meet us. It's ordinary people's concert, but we do our best to perform variety & to offer musical sharing experience. The concert is followed by potluck/jam at our beloved friend's home in Berkeley at 6p. And yes, you are all invited to it as well. Read full details below while browsing through our event pic's (from top down: concert; potluck; jam; jam++;ping pong!)

Uh-oh, I've mismanaged my time today, and now don't think I can make it over from the Marina in time. Sorry!

I'd appreciate it if someone could send me an email with the address for the potluck. I've attended the potlucks before, but haven't had enough foresight to keep the address!

I think it's 1243 Ashby, between San Pablo & Mabel.

For those of you signing up late (so, didn't receive my email reminder), no problemo! Just come to the concert, and bring a potluck dish to share if you are planning to attend potluck/jam following the concert. We'll all figure out when you get there, okie?:)

I don't have a preference. They're all quite short. Maybe we could go some this month, and then a few more the next month, etc.

Leslie, Which Brahms waltzes are you likely to want to do? I love singing in harmony but having little vocal training, I'd like to look ahead and see. I am somewhere between mezzo soprano and soprano and enjoy singing alto parts too at times.

How about the Brahms Liebeslieder waltzes at the 2/22 jam? It is close to Valentine's Day, after all. It's for SATB and 4-hand piano, and it would be great to have at least 3 copies. Let me know your voice part, whether you have sung/played them before, and whether you have a copy of the music. I think there are 2 volumes, but I only have the first.

Flutists -- I'm looking for someone to play on a guitar-cello-flute arrangement of a beautiful song at the jam on 2/22. It's not very difficult. I can send the music in advance, or you can come to a short rehearsal at my house in Berkeley on 2/17 at noon, or we can just wing it.
