Hi there,

I'd like to welcome all of you (esp. newbies to the meetup!) to our monthly all-in-one event, and it's FREE of cost. Please come on out and meet us. It's ordinary people's concert, but we do our best to perform variety & to offer musical sharing experience. The concert is followed by potluck/jam at our beloved friend's home in Berkeley at 6p. And yes, you are all invited to it as well. Read full details below while browsing through our event pic's (from top down: concert; potluck; jam; jam++;ping pong!)

*ABOUT THIS EVENT:
The concert will take place at David Anderson's home, where we usually have our potluck/jam.   It will be followed by the potluck and jam.  The piano and stage are at the front door, so if you come late please don't ring the doorbell, just enter.

*WHERE:
Concert @5: Home of David Anderson.

Potluck dinner/musical jam (+ ping pong) after the concert: check you email as the date gets closer for the exact address & potluck assignment.

*WHEN: Every 4th Saturday @ 5p unless notified any change; followed by potluck/jam @6p

*PROGRAM:
The concert will begin @5 at our friend's home, where we usually have the jam. The program consists of mostly classical music featuring  various solo or ensemble vocal/instrumental performances (good mix of both pro & amateur musicians!). This will be a shorter than normal concert. Afterward, good time continues with potluck and jam session at our good old friend's home until we all get tired out, right?:)

ABOUT US (the performers):
East Bay Musical Chairs a.k.a EBMC is our name. You can find more information at our website http://east-bay-musical-chairs.blogspot.com/. Send us an email if you're interested in joining!

That's all for now. Hope to see you @ the concert/party & let's have a blast!!:)

Sorry I wasn't able to make it. I left Tiburon at 5:15 PM to head over there, but traffic on the Richmond Bridge and I-80 W was so bad I wouldn't have gotten there until past 7 PM. Since I was tired from driving, I just went home instead.

    I haven't been feeling well lately; thought I'd be feeling better by today in time for the Monthly Concert party, but it was not to be. Wish it were otherwise.:o {

Need to take care of car repairs and errands since i returned from out of town. I'll have to pass this time around, unfortunately. Have a great time, everyone!

I'm just home from the hospital and won't be able to go out until after Oct 22. Every day music helped me be strong and heal. I listened to prayer of st francis sung and played by Sarah mclachlan every morning, it is hauntingly beautiful.
I play piano some but not real well, and wrote a little jazz song and half way into a piece for cello 2 flutes and piano which I hope to finish next year, and my church sang an alleluia I wrote. Anyone else writing?
I'm going to go hear Peter White Christmas concert at Yoshis in December. Tickets still available. He plays well and has wonderful energy.
While I was in Elmwood hospital in Berkeley I was surprised no one came to play music for the patients, many whom are there months. When I get well I'm going to look into doing this.

Hello David! Thanks for hosting such a wonderful event! I will unfortunately not be able to come for the concert at 5pm, but plan to join the post-jam/ potluck event.

Hi Everyone, we are in for a cozy concert!
Since the format is different with a small concert in the beginning, I will post on the door asking asking late comers to wait to come in between concert performances.

I'm sorry, I and my guests won't be able to attend. Maybe next month. Any target date when we get back to Redwood Gardens at 4pm?

When I spoke to them in July, they said at least a year before the renovations will be complete. They may open a half for some events, so we will periodically check back with them.

Hey everyone. Location for the performance and potluck is the our friend's home in Berkeley where we usually have the jam. It will start at 5pm with a shorter than usual performance, then potluck and jam. We're working on updating the meetup announcement.
