What a great group! A great book and we covered a lot of ground with it. Thanks to Chris for sending a link to Vonnegut's powerful letter to the school board in the small North Dakota town that banned Slaughterhouse-five. I thought we had a wonderful conversation, although we all need gentle reminding to exercise good turn-taking skills. Sometimes in the heat of discussion we can forget to encourage the more polite among us to take the floow.

Many thanks to Victoria and Chris. I apologize to those I interrupted - impulse control is not my strong suit, but I'm working on it. Great discussion and many insightful statements. Thanks to all, I am looking forward to seeing you all again!

Would someone kindly advise how the good to see you feature works and where it is?

For me, when I go to the event after it has happened, I see the list of people that attended, and under each one is a red button that says, 'Good To See You'.

When I click the button, I think that message shows up in your conversations.

Great discussion (as usual with this group, it seems). I thought this turned out to be a good book choice too with some fun things to talk about. I found the race stuff a little jarring at times (probably the intention) but I was definitely reminded why Vonnegut used to be one of my favorites. It was also interesting to think about it in the context of when it was published.

Another great read and evening. Thank you to everyone especially Victoria for being a gracious host and Chris for organizing. So happy about group fluidity and simultaneous stability.

Great chat, new folks, veteran folks, Vicki's house, pizza. What could be better?

I really wanted to attend this; Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors, but I have too much going on with school at the moment. Hopefully there will be more Vonnegut in the future... ? :-)

    Vonnegut readers:
Looking forward to our discussion tomorrow evening. :) As usual, if you're able, please bring a snack (fruit, cheese, etc) or drink to share. Thanks!

I suggest it would be appropriate to have a giant bowl of Cheerios as our communal snack

Unfortunately, I will not be able to make this one. My parents are coming into town that night. Really enjoying the book though. I will miss hearing what everyone had to say.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
