Re the Preservation Society's House Tour, I just purchased my ticket online ($25 if purchased ahead of time; $30 at the door). Dates are Dec. 8, 1-5 and Dec. 9, 1-5. Times not assigned ahead of time. See the website at http://chapelhillpreservation.com/event-tickets/2012-holiday-house-tour/ . I, too, am eager to see the inside of the Betty Smith house -- plus a number of other historical residences that have been preserved, in part due to the Preservation Society's efforts.

The lady in charge of that is sending me discount coupons for this and I'll bring them to our 12/5 meetup, all!

Since I read this book, I've come across countless references to it and to Wm. Gibson. It seems to have been a seminal work. I'm eager for the discussion.

I'm trying to pick only the seminal works, young Evelyn. I can't wait to discuss it, too. I asked Mr. Gibson on Twitter to call in to our book club meeting but I don't think he probably will. ;)
