June 2014 AVA Informational Meeting and 5K Walk

Are you looking for a fun way to exercise and meet new people? Looking for others who share your passion for walking and seeing new places?

Then join us for a brief informational meeting about the Clay-Platte Trackers Walking Club and AVA (American Volkssport Association). We will meet at the Farmer's Market Pavilion at English Landing Park at 6:30pm. For the first half hour members of the Clay-Platte Trackers will briefly talk about our club, the various scheduled group walks we do, and describe the many benefits of being part of AVA. We will also have on-hand new member packets for those interested in starting up right away.

After the 30 minute meeting we will then do a 5K (3.1 mile) walk at English Landing Park where you can enjoy great views of the Missouri River and talk to members of the club about all we do.

Check the weather forecast the evening of the walk and dress appropriately. Closed-toed walking shoes or hiking boots and plenty of water are a must. Other important outdoor protection includes: insect repellent (ticks, mosquitoes), a hat, and sunscreen.

All group members on Clay-Platte Trackers Walking Club outings are required to sign a standard liability waiver before we begin the walk.

I will be out of town for work on June 11 & 12 - I'm really bummed since both of these dates are back to back events that would have been perfect locations for me to attend and exactly the kind of events I was looking forward to. :(

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
