Clearwater Writers Meet-Up

We meet at O'Keefe's Tavern [masked]) every other Tuesday, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. There is a full menu of food/drinks available (separate checks.) We do like for each member to buy at least a soda, since we are using the tavern's tables for 3 hours, but a purchase is not a requirement for Meet-Up Participation.

The first portion of our meeting is devoted to talking about topics of interest to writers of all genres, such as: • What’s new in the publishing industry, • What hot websites/blogs have been discovered, • Discussion/Information-sharing pertaining to articles we have read

During the second portion of our meeting, individuals are each given the opportunity to read from their work and receive verbal comments/critiques from the rest of the group. Interested members can also supply printed copies of their work to other members, who will then provide a more detailed, written critique of the work sample. Hope you can join us!

Ok BonSue Bonsai! Midwifery IS an interesting description I admit. Like concierge for a doctor. Pardon me but I'll now shamelessly promote my writer's workshop called Write for your Soul on Sept. 21st and if you cannot make that one October 19th is the next one! www.writeforyoursoul.org
It get's lots of writers out of blocks, some folks find it terrifically therapeutic, and some make long lasting friendships! Come south to Sarasota, relax on our beach, and I'll head north to meet all of you and relax at your pub :) ! Keep up the good work BonSue. See you the 1st of October. All the best, Dr. L

It was a new term for me last year- it's exactly what it says- takes you from conception to publication. Also usually charged per hour for editing. I figure one if your 201 members might know someone, does my message just go to you? I'd like to work with someone locally, face to face. Mine retired. ;(

Lisa - You're posting on our member bulletin board, so everyone in our group can see this conversation, but most of our group members are novice writers who have not yet published. The published writers in our group are mostly focused on their own projects. Someone might be interested in being a 'personal trainer' but I doubt it. I suggest you search on-line for literary mid-wives. Good luck!
