Mastermind Book Club

Formal education will make you a living, but self-education will make you a fortune. There are a few mainstays to learning that anyone can use to improve their lives. The first is to read books. The second is to learn from successful people by observation. And the third is to constantly reflect on your own experiences and learn what went right and what went wrong. We will do all these things in our Mastermind Book Club.

Each month we select a personal development or wealth-building book to read. Everyone reads on their own. Then the last Friday (in July we're going to do the last SATURDAY) of the month, we'll get together for an hour or two to discuss the book, reflect on personal experiences, and implement action steps to put our new knowledge to use.

Our June book is "The Richest Man in Babylon" by George S Clason. This easy read is the grandaddy of all personal finance books. It's the cornerstone of managing household finance. If you want to learn how to earn more money, protect the money you've made, pay down debt, and make your money work for you -- this is a must read. For a small book, it carries a LOT of weight! This book transformed my personal finances, and I read it every year because of how true & profound its philosophies are.

You can find this book online or in any book store.

"Don’t worry about the cost of books. It isn’t what the book costs. It’s what it will cost you if you don’t read it." - Jim Rohn
