Mastermind Book Club -- Rich Dad, Poor Dad

Formal education will make you a living, but self-education will make you a fortune. There are a few mainstays to learning that anyone can use to improve their lives. The first is to read books. The second is to learn from successful people by observation. And the third is to constantly reflect on your own experiences and learn what went right and what went wrong. We will do all these things in our Mastermind Book Club.

Each month we select a personal development or wealth-building book to read. Everyone reads on their own. Then the last Friday of the month (this month will be Thursday cuz I'm out of town on Friday), we'll get together for an hour or two to discuss the book, reflect on personal experiences, and implement action steps to put our new knowledge to use.

Our September book is "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki. This is the best selling personal finance book of all time. In his book, Robert Kiyosaki depicts the difference in mentalities between his two "dads". One who was highly educated, had a high paying job, and at the end of his life, died with nothing to show. And the other who ended up being one of the richest men in Hawaii. A fantastic book to shape the mindset of an entrepreneur.

You can find this book online or in any book store.

"Don’t worry about the cost of books. It isn’t what the book costs. It’s what it will cost you if you don’t read it." - Jim Rohn
