In place of the normal monthly cash game, I am hosting a tournament on the 18th, with a cash game to follow. The buy-in for the tournament is $40 (no re-buys). The tournament will be all six-card holdem.
For anyone who hasn't played six-card holdem, it's not complicated. You get six cards instead of two, and you separate them into three two-card hands before the flop. After the flop comes out and betting is completed, you have to throw away one of your three hands before the turn is dealt. And, similarly, you throw away another hand after the turn and before the river, leaving you with two cards for the showdown, just like regular holdem.
Since six-card holdem plays no more than seven-handed, I am planning on starting with 14 players at two tables. But, if there is enough interest, I may bring in a third table.
Doors open at 7:30pm and cards fly at 8pm.
This game is open to new players, but anyone who has not played in Brian’s game will need to contact Brian for the address.
