I'm an experienced expedition sea kayaker from Pittsburgh and Buffalo. I enjoy Greenland style rolling and kayak surfing. I also stay fit bicycling, hiking and snowshoeing.
I have a dependable hands and paddle rolls, so I don't typically wet exit.
I'm not a beginner
I have all the gear including 3 fiberglass sea kayaks
Many time, including surfing big waves.
Hi Dan! Welcome to the Hiking Club of Raccoon Creek State Park! The club meets each month to hike, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors. This year, in addition to hiking at RCSP, we'll also be hiking a few nearby parks. We hope you enjoy the hikes we have planned and look forward to meeting you! If you have any questions, please let us know or for more info on the hikes and other great programs the park has to offer, check out the Events tab on the RCSP Facebook page.
Hi Dan. Nice kayak photo! Clearly you're at home on land and at sea.
Welcome aboard Dan! From all accounts you should love this group...great to have you as a member!
Would have liked to do this if I had advance notice -- I can take one random half day off per week and could load my boat in the morning and leave at lunch. I'll watch for when and if you offer this outing again -- just bought a noseclip last weekend with the intention of learning to roll this summer. Bottoms up!
Hey Dan, met you this summer on Lake Ontario in July on the PPP Thursday night. My wife and I, with the seayaks, paddle with you and the guy with the Hobie from Wilson creek into the Harbor and back. Seeing if you remembered us at all?
Thanks for posting the great "Topsy turvy"pix!
Dan, great hiking with you on the North Side, even though you kicked my ass on the Rising Main steps! Hope to see you around.
Welcome to Pitssburgh and meetup hiking. Hope to see you on the water also.
