Marc,

Yes Multisite is exactly for housing all of your wordpress sites in one install. It provides convenience beyond just single log in though. For instance, with security updates, you would only have to install updates in one location. No more tracking across a few or even dozens of sites trying to make sure each is updated.

Yes it will work with Windows. The likelihood is that you are going to have your WordPress installed at a GNU/Linux server. You would access it from your Web Browser, in Windows, Mac or Linux. We pretend to charge extra for people using Windows or Mac. But don't let anyone know we don't. :D

Aoirthoir, You mentioned "Multisite" ....what are the benefits of "Multi-site"? I have numerous websites and it is a chore to keep track of all of passwords. It would be nice to have control of all of my websites under one-roof. Is this something that Multi-Site would be useful for??
Can I use Multisite with windows XP?

Subject: [webdesign-396] WordPress Course, Questions

Howdy Folks!
A few folks have asked me some questions about the WordPress course entitled "I Bleeping Love WordPress! 101". So here are your answers.
----------
Q. "I don't have PayPal or a Credit Card, can I pay in Cash on the first day of the course?"

A. Yes you can. Your book may be delayed a couple of days after as I won't be purchasing materials until I have payment. This ensures that I'm only buying materials for folks that actually come to the course. If you plan on paying by cash, just call me and I will RSVP directly. But please, only use this option if you have no other method of payment with PayPal, as it makes it incredibly convenient for us.
----------
Q. "Can I switch days, sometimes coming on Thursdays, and sometimes coming on Saturdays?"
A. Yes you can if space is available. But I do not recommend you doing so too often. The classes will basically be in sync, but one might get ahead slightly of the other, depending on the questions of students.
----------
Q. "I'd like to learn about SEO, jQuery and other WordPress topics, will you be teaching those in this course?"
A. Not in this course. Starting in April we will have other courses, such as:
I Bleeping Love WordPress SEO
I Bleeping Love WordPress jQuery
I Bleeping Love WordPress Design with Gimp and CSS
I Bleeping Love WordPress HTML5
These are just a few of the courses we've laid out for the coming months.
----------
Q. "Do we need to bring our Laptops?"
A. Yes.
Q. "I don't have a Laptop, will their be computers available?"
A. We have a couple of spare laptops we are willing to share. But as the owners are Pagans, they have evil Pagan symbols on them. :) If you can bear using such a computer, we're glad to loan it to you while in class.
----------
Q. "Do we need to have a WordPress site already to take the course?"
A. No. We will be setting up a sandbox area for you to test most WordPress functionality. Two weeks after the course all Sandboxes will be deleted.
Having your own WordPress install, on your own domain, will certainly be more convenient though. If you do not have one yet, we recommend you wait until class. We will be showing you how to set up WordPress MutliSite and for various reasons we recommend a specific domain that is used to host your multisite, rather than one of your "real" sites. We'll explain why in class.
----------
Q. "How do I sign up for the course?"
A. Most people will RSVP at one of the web addresses and pay via PayPal. Those that are paying cash will need to call [masked]. To RSVP for the courses:
You only need to RSVP and pay for the First day of the course.
----------
I hope that answers all questions. If you have any more questions please feel free to reply or call me at [masked]
