I am not sure if i got this because i signed up already or not but i am interested in both php and mysql courses. or study groups.
so let me me what and when, saturday mornings are best for me too.
btw. i just found a good web host for mysql, my old host 1 and 1 did not allow me to create users with different privelage levels. only one user account for all the databases. NO JOKE. so i am dumping them.to go to TopHostingCenter.com
$6.95/mo w/24month contract. sorry for the ad but i had to get this host from MYSQL the company as one of their partners to get the privelage user issue, without going to a dedictated host cost. I was shocked when my php scripts didn't run because of this user issue.
so i need to learn more mysql and php badly.i 've been buying books like candy so more is no problem and weekly rent dues shouldn't be either if they are reasonable.
so let me know I am in.

Please add me to the list for both the PHP and MySQL courses.
Morning would be preferable. Books and course costs are not a problem for me.
Thanks for putting this together.

We're putting together two intro courses (for complete programming beginners). One will be for PHP and the other will be for MySQL. (We'll be discussing these at the meet and greet, already scheduled.).
In ordeer to better plan these I need to know several things:
1. How many of you want the MySQL training?
2. How many of you want the PHP training?
3. These classes will be on Saturdays, so is Morning or Afternoon best for you?
4. Anyone coming has to commit to being there at the start of the course (this prevents me from having to explain to walk ins the very basics every single meetup, we had that happening last time we ran a study group and wish to avoid it entirely.)
5. Are you able to afford to purchase (on your own from Amazon, Barnes and Nobles or anyplace else) about $100 or so in books?
6. If we have enough persons wishing to join I'll have to conduct the classes at Gemini Center in Fairview
Park. On Saturdays the rental is 35/hr. The classes will be 2 hours each so that's 70 dollars. Which means about 7 dollars per persons we'd have to split (at 10 persons) to cover the rental cost. If more persons come the cost will be reduced per person. (Coming the next year we'll be having an NGO. So we'll be able to use the Library's facilities as that's a requirement, in which case the cost will be back to zero again.)
So just respond to this email if you are interested, or contact me directly.
