I was thinking more of ED209 from Robocop.
Sorry about all the random emails everyone.  I sacrifice your tolerance for my convenience of just hitting reply.

Announcing a new event for The Cleveland Area Web Standards Meet Up Group!

What: Plan our Website

When: Saturday, September 22, 4:00 PM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: We now have a basic plan for the initial website. Rather than waiting until everything is perfect (CMS, Forum, Mysql Backend etc), we are just going to push ahead with something simple. This meeting will be to organize our thoughts better, and actually implement some of the sites basics.

Everyone is welcome to come. None of us should let our perceived noobieness or lack of knowledge prevent us, after all what do I really know? We've all got something to contribute if we want (and of course if our schedule permits...we realize that everyone also has very busy lives). The time might change, depending on input. But for now its tentative at 4pm on Saturady the 22nd at the Caribou Coffee in Rocky River. If you plan on coming please RSVP so I can make plans, since it is not a large venue. If the time is difficult let me know in your RSVP

So here is what we will cover...

Main page. Simple, clean, compliant, and static.

This will have some basic information about us. What we stand for and why. Very brief though. It will also contain links to the other pages.

Schedule. Again simple clean compliant and static (for now). We will update this with information on each upcoming event.

Online Venues. This will be a list of links to all of the Meetup.com and Upcoming.org type sites of which our association is a member.

Members Sites Links. (Links to all sites our members run or contribute to).

Members Page (like the about pages here).

Vanilla Forum. (To replace this forum).

Blog Aggregater. This will aggregate all of our members Blogs. Topic doesnt matter. If you have a political blog, or a technical one, or one about your flower bed, or crazy Irish Cobol stuff, you can be aggregated.

Some of these pages will be done later (say the venues links, members sites, members pages etc). But these are actually simple enough we might be ready, with simple setup, by our next regular monthly meetup. Brendan will be setting up Vanilla for us. I'd like to do the aggregator just because I've never done it, (or I'd like to help with it).

So really it's just going to be a handful of plain static pages and 2 small apps. Easy as programming COBOL on a Cardpunch system:)
