I'd say it comes down to Python vs PHP. I don't like either of them
(Ruby FTW), but I've been a die hard Drupal fan for 8 years because of
what it can do out of the box. I've had over 2 dozen successful
implementations. My only advice is to upgrade frequently as the big
jumps are pretty painful.
