CSC Social Night at Deutsche Zentrale (German Central) - "Skat for Coins"

Tonight is a purely social event, but, I'll be frank, it's also a bit of a "recon" mission.  German Central at the corner of York and Sprague in Parma has held "fun nights" for many years at which game players gather to play cards, board games, leisure games or just hang out.  I am told there are occasionally old time skat players there, too, but that remains to be seen.  I am interested in learning if reaching out to this organization might have some mutual benefits between our club and them.

We will play a social game, be it Pub Skat, Rauber Skat, Schieberamsch, or anything else from the German card game canon such as Schafkopf, Sheepshead or DoKo.  The game nights are open to the public and if a membership is required to make use of the bar, I will gladly pay the fee to join.

I'm not quite sure where this might lead, folks, but it's been something I've been meaning to try for some time now.  I am scheduling two consecutive weeks at DZ for now.  Come join us for a night of fun!

We had four and played for nickels per multiplier. Lots of fun being next to the ladies playing their VERY vocal 3-13 card game and having a blast. Three card tables going at once and the beer was flowing. Great times!

Bring your change jars folks! We'll play at whatever stakes all players are comfortable with (be it pennies, nickels, dimes, etc.). Basic rules are collect from each opponent one coin per multiplier in winning suit games, two per multiplier in grand, and either 2,3,4, or 5 for each of the respective levels of Null. Pay each opponent double when you lose. We can also experiment with ramsch for all pass deals. This will be a fun time!
