Cleveland Skat Club Night at the Cleveland Männerchor

WE MOVED OUR CLUB NIGHT TO WEDNESDAY THIS WEEK ONLY.

Our regular venue, the Cleveland Männerchor is an authentic German social club serving great food and drink in a card-friendly atmosphere! Note our later start time of 7:00pm, making it easier for players to join us and taking advantage of our venue's late closing time!

This is our regular weekly Skat game where we play in a friendly, but competitive setting for prizes. Newer players are encouraged to check out our "Skat School" sessions to develop their skills before attempting "Club Nights". "Rookie" players who are newer to Skat and have not yet won a prize are eligible to compete at a reduced fee of just $1.

Since we will be playing organized competition within the CSC, we will be following all rules of the International Skat Order (aka International Rules). The ISO is available for viewing here:
http://www.skatcanada...

We will be charging a $3 fee for CSC play ($1 for Rookies), all of which will be paid right back as prizes to the top 25% scoring participants at each event. We will also be assessing a “bump money” fee of $0.25 per lost hand in order to pay for the cards, year-end prizes and other expenses. Rookie players do not pay bump money.

Gut Blatt!

Greetings Durkovic, we are primarily a "live" club and our club night is Fridays in Cleveland. If you wish to play skat online, I suggest the International Skat Server (ISS) with the link posted at left, or euroskat.com. Many of our members have ventured into online play on ISS and a few of us have tried tournaments (for cash prizes) on Euroskat. If you ever find yourself in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, by all means look us up!

I found for some great big grands at the start of the list, and that plus playing just the games I was dealt was enough to keep me ahead of the pack for the rest of the evening. My 1313 (12-1) outpaced Roger's 1083 (14-2). It was interesting playing on Wednesday while the Maennerchor were conducting their rehearsals. And I even got a bonus beer, woo hoo!
