California Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 21, 2013!

A good place to go is Upper Newport Bay, since there is a lot of trash there which drains from inland OC.

Click on the link below to see the various locations to sign up with.  Arrive early, by 8:30 pm.

Join the Cleanup!

California Coastal Cleanup Day gives all Californians the opportunity to learn about coastal resources and how to help preserve them.  Volunteers will clean up trash, separate it for recycling, and keep track of what they find – all while taking care of the marine environment. Most importantly, volunteers walk away better understanding the amount of marine debris that litters our environment, where it comes from and how they can combat it. Volunteers should bring their own reusable bag or bucket, gloves, and water bottle to make this event ZERO WASTE.
