    There was a small group with a professional guide that setup an anchor next to us (I was told their helmets were from REI and I'm pretty sure REI doesn't rent protective gear for climbing, just shoes, so he must have worked for them). While I was setting up another anchor I saw this knot which was attached to their anchor rope, but not a critical part of the anchor. This is supposed to be double fisherman knots to tie the ends of this static line together. Although this knot is most like safe, it is tied incorrectly. I wouldn't expect a professional guide with clients who pay him to teach them to tie a sloppy knot like this.
