Hello, I currently am a vegetarian as well as a fitness guru. This meetup concept is EPIC!!
Do you love climbing and other outdoor adventures? Do you love challenging yourself, and leaning over the edge of your comfort zone? Do you find it hard to separate your love of nature from the environment you wish to preserve or the creatures you wish to let live? Do you wish you could share this with others who "get it"?
Welcome to Vedge. I am truly grateful for the friends I have made through this meetup and the adventures we have shared. We seem to attract some of the nicest, most thoughtful, and conscientious climbers I've met.
We climb for all different reasons. Gym climbing for some is a fun and social alternative to a conventional gym. Others want to go out and test their mettle on the most challenging outdoor climbs nature has to offer. We are fortunate to have the Gunks, some of the best climbing east of the Mississippi only a two hour drive away. Regardless, we will enjoy lots of great veggie food along the way, roast tofu-pups over the camp fire, etc.
So join us for a dinner and/or gym climbing event. We warmly welcome all abilities, from those who have never climbed, to those pushing their limits on 5.12 and higher. Vegans, vegetarians, and vegetarian wannabes are all welcome.
