Came for the projects; stayed for the amazing after-meet discussions. Really though-provoking.

Had a great time hacking the perk selector together with Kyle. Looking around it seemed like everyone else was engaged as well. Think this sort of event could still use some kinks getting worked out, but overall I'm pretty happy with it!

After these informal meetups I always feel like I've leveled up several times in just a few short hours. The discussions with awesome people are with it alone.

I should've asked this sooner: Last time we met at Relay I had trouble getting in. I was there a few minutes past seven. Do the doors lock at 7? Is there a back door I can use if I'm a few minutes late?

    December 4, 2013

    • Tim V.

I've posted details at each door this time with a phone number to call.

I've been working on a web app using clojure/script and facebook's React library. I'd be happy to share what I've learned - anyone want to put together a toy web app?

I wrote a blog post about the architecture of my application. If anyone wants to read it, it might make hacking together tonight start off a bit more easily since you'll have an idea what the code looks like already: http://tomconnors.git...

Hi Vera. A slot just opened up to come tonight but I'm not sure if you're clear on the subject of the meetup. Are you solving these problems using Clojure? Not sure how directly Clojure relates to the projects you've listed. The meeting time is listed in the description of the meetup, which is 7pm.

And a library idea that I had the other day: https://gist.github.com/7756042

This one is about providing an interface for filtering seqables with example objects with intelligent semantics. Query with data!

Another idea I just had that would be a contribution back to the community: https://gist.github.com/timvisher/7755910

I have been working on a core.async and dommy based templating engine I could use some help with. This is for a CLJS "client only" blog engine based around Emacs org-mode that I intend to host on Amazon S3 or github pages.

I'd be interested in hacking on this with you.

I've been working on a client-side web app in clojurescript for a little while now that I'd love to work on with someone else. It's available on github: https://github.com/timvisher/bible-plan

While the subject matter might not be all that interesting to you, I think the implementation is interesting enough for anyone. Specifically, I'm using dommy for templating and dom selection, goog.ui components for a calendar (this is half-baked at this point), clojurescript source maps for debugging, austin for my browser repl needs, cljsbuild for my build tool chain, and a decently complex set of data transformations to meet my requirements.

I'd be happy to get someone bootstrapped on their own clojurescript projects in the context of this one too, if you've had trouble getting off the ground.

I also still have my swarm coding idea to get off the ground. This wouldn't necessarily be a clojure heavy project, but it could be.

Happy to pair with anyone on something else as well.

I'll offer to pair with anyone on my machine (or help someone get their machine setup) to do some Clojure or emacs basics. I have a bunch of katas and such we could do.
