RE: [Clojure-NYC] I scheduled meetings for the 3rd Thursday of each month (we missed February)

Folks,

For what it’s worth, LispNYC meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month, so I would propose that the Clojure group meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month, thereby establishing a “Tuesday is Lisp day” theme and trend.

Hi, Eric,

I have a strong interest in the Clojure Meetup, but I also regularly attend the .NET Developers User Group which also meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month.

If it were just me, I’d just deal with the conflict and pick the most interesting of the two meetings each month.   However, the .NET Dev UG is a pretty large group and I think that there might be a lot of others interested in both groups.    Is there another time that might work as a regular slot, since the .NET Dev UG is already an established group and unlikely to change?

I put meetings on the 3rd Thursday of the month to make it easier for people to plan for and for us to setup speakers in advance. I could not get things together for February but we will start in March of have recurring meetings from there on. I received some very good feedback from the first meeting and I have been approached about space and sponsorships for the meetups so I think we are off to a great start.

Thanks everybody and please keep the comments and suggestions coming!
See you at the next meeting.
Eric
