Clojure Toronto meeting

This month: twelve overtone demos! ClojureBridge discussion! Office hours! Programming mayhem and fun!

Pick a tutorial for overtone, make some sounds, and then show it to us! It's easy, fun, and low pressure. But you have to do it! But it's ok if you don't. But do it anyway!

Come join us for an evening of talks, programming and socializing centered around the Clojure language!

We're welcoming and easy-going and love talking about programming and other fun things like that.

Doors open at 6, talks start at 6:30. See you there!

Thanks for the fun and informative meetup. My modest contribution was a plagiarism from this blog post:

A note on apply-at, it's actually using a scheduler, (backed by ScheduledThreadPoolExecutor), so there's no risk of blowing up the stack when using for pseudo-recursion. Overtone doc shows the same technique, they call it temporal recursion:

Hi David, sorry but I don't think I'll be able to help. I was on Mac and didn't run into this problem. I installed SC and overtone found it automagically. Good luck.

I found the problem. It seems that Overtone assumes Supercollider was installed in the default directory ('\Program Files' or '\Program Files (x86)'. If you install Supercollider somewhere else, Overtone won't find it. Or you could modify Overtone to use the 'PATH' variable instead (although you'd have to add the SC directory to the PATH yourself).

Tonight was amazing! Thanks to the speakers, the Dann for organizing, and everyone attending. I had a great time!
