Clojure Hack Night

The monthly meetup will be the 5th Tuesday of July instead of the 4th due to a conflict. This meetup will be devoted to working through some Clojure problems as a group. There's no better way to learn than diving in and solving problems with others. We'll pair up and work through some example problems together. This meetup is beginner friendly so don't worry if you don't have any Clojure experience. Bring your laptop if you have one.

We have two projects we can work on.

  1. core.async - It's not as hard to setup as you think, and it's very useful for inverting control to avoid "Callback hell". We'll be using core.async to convert signals from a Leap Motion device into a stream.
  2. Interactive Artwork with Mondrian - A chance to express our creative side but also a potentially useful library for data visualization.

Paul should be here to present a little experiment with leap motion. We'll be hacking on Mondrian as well. See this blog post http://michaelalynmiller.com/blog/2013/06/25/mondrian/

I'm going to try to make it but it's going to be tight. I don't get out of work until around five and have to metro over from Vienna.
