ACUG June Meeting

Hi folks,

We're going to keep it light today and do a quick recap of Velocity and DevOpsDays Mountain View after which we're going to run openspaces, where we organize into smaller groups and talk about topics and ask questions that we have about the cloud/devops/tools etc. Come prepared with questions, and we will see you tomorrow!

Thank you Nextgen Healthcare for sponsoring this month's meetup.

Austin Cloud User Group is an group of cloud professionals working together who meetup every month to talk about the latest happenings in the Cloud Computing space, collaborate on ideas to solve problems, and share our knowledge with the community. We're a friendly, easy going group, so come on over!

Great discussions last night. FYI, here is the link I mentioned with my live blogs and links to slides from GlueCon 2013: http://launchany.com/gluecon

We had food as a last minute save. James, Karthik, and I shared what we'd learned at Velocity and DevOpsDays Silicon Valley (see theagileadmin.com for the writeups) and then we did openspaces. One open discussion on "private cloud is a myth" and then two breakout sessions on private cloud construction/tooling and rundeck/saltstack/other orchestration tools.

If anyone is interested in talking about rundeck or orchestration, I would be interested in that. Would love to do some hands on with rundeck.

Did this get rescheduled from the 18th? Somehow I have it on today's calendar and not on next week's. Since I let Meetup put it on my phone calendar, I'm trying to figure out what happened.

Sorry dudes; I thought meetup would notify on date changes, but apparently not. Anyways, this has been moved to next Tuesday.

Not sure here guys, but I think whether meetup notifies you is how you have your notifications set. There is a notification which asks "do you want to be notified about changes to your meetups?" Check to see how you have that set...of course automatically updating your calendars is a whole different matter.
