Coincidence plays small part in the emergent development patterns required for creating OpenStack-based clouds. The "continuous integration" (CI) paradigm yields a path through the overwhelming complexity of development: from the first commit to the deployment of a full cloud. Individuals and organizations can mutually benefit by adapting to a CI ecosystem based on tools largely mature and ubiquitous.
James will talk about some of the stresses of adapting to CI as well as guidelines to reduce that stress while testing, automating, and integrating your software.
About the Presenter:
James Maniotis built continuous testing/integration/deployment system used across development, QA, and production environments at CloudScaling.
